Gone Fishing
35 mm film
10 minutes

Gone Fishing is the touching story of a boy and an old man coming to terms with bereavement through their shared love of fishing, and the legend of Goliath, the biggest pike ever caught!

Production:

Shooting took place over three days at Ealing Studios and a further six days on location at Bury Hill Fisheries, a family run commercial fishing lake south west of London. The crew worked tirelessly to get the movie in the can, with location shooting around water proving a particular challenge. Often, real fishermen would wander up and watch in amazement at just how slowly a film shoot moves, one fisherman commenting: “Fishing moves faster than this!”
